In this Wachovia commercial, a trucking company needed to send its truckers to Florida to help deliver supplies to hurricane victims.  Instead of giving cash to their employees, the trucking company gave each trucker Wachovia gift cards.  This is a very creative way to use Wachovia card services.  I also think that Wachovia Visa Buxx could be helpful in these types of circumstances, but in helping parents to give money to their kids.

This article will review these Wachovia gift cards.

Among the other banking products offered by Wachovia online banking, Wachovia gift cards are a very convenient product that can be used anytime you need to buy someone a gift in a hurry.  Many times when I go to buy someone a gift card, I struggle to figure out which store card to buy them.  I often don’t know their shopping tastes or which stores they shop at.  These Wachovia gift card take all of the guess work out the decision.  The person you are buying them for can use the card anywhere that Visa credit card is accepted.  Being able to shop at any store that accepts a Visa credit card is a huge advantage.

You can buy these Wachovia gift cards in denominations from $25 to $600.  This gives you great flexibility for which occassions you can use these Visa gift cards.  If you are buying a friend a gift to say thank you, a $25 gift card might be the right choice.  If you are buying a high school graduation gift, a higher dollar amount gift card might be more appropriate.

One of the coolest features of these Wachovia gift cards is that you can order them right in the Wachovia online banking website.  This is super convenient.  You don’t have go into one of the Wachovia banking locations and wait in line.  Boy I love the Internet!!

The only downside to these gift cards is the fees.  Everytime the Wachovia Visa gift cards are used, Wachovia charges a $1.00 fee.  If you use them in an ATM machine, there is a $2.00 fee.  You should check out the terms of service on the Wachovia.com website to understand all of the fees associated with these Visa gift cards.
